The purpose with the scholarship
The purpose with the Innovation scholarship is to create a possibility for researchers to find out the business potential for an innovation.
Who can apply?
Doctoral student, researchers and teachers at Chalmers University of technology or other universities in the western part of Sweden that consider their research result / business idea can be developed into a new unique product or service based on technology.
The scholarship is max. SEK 10.000 and can be used for: take time to develop its market potential, travels, conferences, independent verifying of the technology or other efforts that can strengthen the business potential of the innovation.
What are the scholarship criteria?
The invention must be based on technology. The invention must be unique in some or different respects and also show a great benefit for the potential customer. The invention should be possible to be spread and sold worldwide.
The scholarship committee
The committee for the scholarship will be business coaches and the committee of Chalmers Innovation. The final decision can not be appealed. The scholarship committee will appoint a scholarship coach during the process.
The scholarship’s implementation and reports
The person that will be awarded an innovation scholarship will be responsible for that the scholarship is used for the above written purposes. Though, she or he will be supported by the business coaches at Chalmers Innovation to give the scholarship maximum benefit. The scholarship is personal and is not a subject for labour tax. Chalmers Innovation expects that the person awarded with an innovation scholarship will compile a written and oral report to the Chalmers Innovation appraisal group at the latest two months after the scholarship has been paid out.
Last application day 1st of February 2007.
The application will be discussed within four weeks after the application has reached Chalmers Innovation.
