Results so far

During the period between 1999 and 2006 companies that have chosen to have a mutual development with Chalmers Innovation have gathered approximately 800 M SEK in venture capital. All due to the attraction of solid ideas and individuals in addition to the well executed incubation programs. Almost all big Venture Capital companies on the Swedish market are represented in our dynamic network of financiers.

Although, during the last few years, the participation of Angel investors and individuals investing in our companies have grown significantly. Last year the companies from Chalmers Innovation attracted 88 M SEK in new venture capital. 33 million of these came from different Angel investors.

 58 percent in turnover

Chalmers Innovation solely with technology-based ventures which have a potential of becoming big growth ventures fit to compete in an international market. This is reflected by  statistics of our incubator operations conducted during the last six years. The average turn over rate for our companies is as high as 58 percent! Customers consuming more and more of our companies products is the also a effect of Chalmers Innovation’s successful approach to business.

Remaining Goals

Chalmers Innovation’s long-term ambition is to conduct operations on the foundation of successful collaboration between the incubation programs and company employees. Chalmers Innovation holds shares in the companies in exchange for providing resources invested in the projects and companies. This means that companies from the incubator must be sold to other ventures for us to realize the value of our share-holding. So far, no extensive selling of companies have been conducted but we are slowly approaching this phase.
